This giveaway is now over. Please continue to read Paws and Effect, or subscribe by email, to learn about future opportunities.
“I’m a very special kitty. In fact, I’m so special I was adopted twice! I know what you’re saying: How on earth did that happen? Well, let me tell you my story.”
And so begins beautiful Bella’s tale of how she came to live with the Paws and Effect Gang. Her story, along with the stories of 11 other rescued cats, appears in Rescued Volume 2.
Because all of us here at Paws and Effect HQ are so delighted that Bella’s story is teaching people that feline diabetes is not a death sentence, and in fact can be well managed, we’re doing a giveaway. You can win a “pawtographed” copy of Rescued Volume 2, and all you have to do is leave a comment to enter. This giveaway is open to people all over the world (except Quebec–sorry, that province has very strict rules about giveaways and prizes, and there’s no way Paws and Effect can comply with those laws. Boo!), and we’re happy to ship the book to you, no matter where you live.
In order to enter the contest, all you need to do is leave a comment on this post. Please leave an email where you can be easily reached in the event that you win the giveaway. If I can’t reach you by email, there’s no way I’ll be able to notify you if you win.
The deadline for entries is Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
If you don’t want to enter the giveaway or you don’t win, please consider buying a copy. A third of the profits from any sales of Rescued Volume 2 during the month of July 2017 will benefit Diabetic Cats In Need, the nonprofit that helped to save Bella’s life. DCIN works to keep sugar kitties in their homes or find homes for diabetic cats who can’t stay where they are. They also provide education and financial assistance where they can. In fact, DCIN has already spent more than $40,000 just in the first half of the year to save the lives of diabetic cats in crisis, so they need your support more than ever. Rescued Volume 2 is available on Amazon (in paperback or Kindle format) and Barnes & Noble.
This giveaway is subject to Paws and Effect’s Giveaway and Contest Rules. Please feel free to share this contest far and wide!
We’re not going to enter because we already have a copy, but we’re going to make a donation to your charity. Concatulations on being in Rescued!
*purrrr* Thank you for making a donation to Diabetic Cats In Need! You can always tell all your friends to buy a copy, too. *grin*
I love reading your fb stories, I rescue cats and my daughter fosters them. Would love to read your book to my grandchildren.
My human shared your giveaway on the Rescued and Fitcat pages… and I’ll do that too later today!
Bella, I really want to win this book with your story!
Yay for Bella’s story! So, is there a vol. 1 still available? I am a magnet for stray, lost and feral felines…and I seem to end up keeping most of them. Some just need some food and water as they get back to where they’re supposed to be, but the ones that stay have a pretty good life.
I think this would be something to donate to my local library (after reading it a few times, of course). That way, more people could learn about sugar kitties, and sugar kitties could get more informed families!
We believe Volume 1 is still available, but you could check on Amazon or Barnes & Noble to be sure.
I’m entering. hopefully if I win I will read it and the donate to a group to auction off. If I don’t I’ll buy vol I and II, read then donate.
Bella,
Darby, Mia and Ian want me to win so I can read them your story… Purrs and cuddles from my kids..
My best friend and myself both had cats with diabetes and my mother currently owns a deaf one eyed white cat. They all love just the same!
We both love cats & kittens. We have rescued a few in our time together. They seem to pick us. Yes we are a slave to our furkids, but we wouldn’t want it any other way!! Thank you for the opportunity!! <3
Ooh I’d love to win a copy!!
Well done again Bella for your story being published!! Its quite an achievement!

We have three cats at home and three feral cats that live outside. We took them and had them spayed/neutered and they are doing very well. They hang out in our back yard and we feed and take care of them. They are actually getting more comfortable with us. I’d love to win a copy! Thank you.
I can’t wait to read this to Callie.

Can’t remember if my phone posted before, love these kitties and their journey. Thanks for sharing with us all
How can I obtain a copy o Rescued cats? I must agree with the comment about cats choosing us. We moved into our home in 2011, and have adopted 2 neighbours cats with their permission and appreciation, and have adopted 2 stray kittens who showed up in our yard. One of the strays had a cleft palate and is now living a happy healthy life.
It’s available for purchase on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble as well. We hope you can find a copy because we’re sure you’ll love it.
