It’s Not Goodbye, It’s Just ‘See You Later’

October 23, 2018 By: JaneA Kelleycomment

Paws and Effect is going on a hiatus, but we will be back!

It’s been more than 15 years. More than 15 years since I launched Paws and Effect as a humble HTML site, with no concept of marketing, no idea who–if anyone–would even care that the site existed, and really, not much of an idea of what I was doing, either. Back then, it was Sinéad, Siouxsie, […]

BlogPaws: An Amazing and Bittersweet Experience

April 22, 2018 By: JaneA Kelleycomment

This year marked the 10th anniversary of BlogPaws, the pet bloggers' conference that gave me confidence and made me great friends. There's a new chapter in the life of the conference, but I met lots of cool cats (and cool people, too).

Yesterday I returned home from the BlogPaws conference. It was an intense and wonderful–if bittersweet–experience, and I’m grateful I got to go, thanks to a sponsorship from the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). I got to see so many friends I haven’t seen in a long time, and to say my goodbyes to the people […]

Mama took this video of me while I was playing with her friend Adrianna. She says I’m an amazing little athlete. Mama says she’s sorry the video was blurry and the video cut off her head — we’re insisting that she take videography lessons if she keeps on wanting to take movies of us. *purrrrrrrrrr* […]

Bella lounges on the top shelf of the cat tree.

Hi there. Siouxsie and Thomas said I could write this week’s post because, well, I think they wanted to take a nap. Anyway, my name is Belladonna Moonshadow Kelley, or Bella for short. I’m so excited to be here in my brand new forever home! I don’t think I’ve stopped purring since I got here! […]
